请问前辈:在多当一名小学或中学老师可行么?
 
国内师范大学理科毕业,英语尚可,想出去当一名小学或中学老师,可行么?句朋友说这个职业收入不多但还算稳定.据说还要上专门学校取得资格才可以,有朋友知道这方面信息的么?多谢了.有同样想法的一起交流一下吧.wangtemp@yahoo.com.cn

有专门的课程要求，要有证书，最后还要通过一个口语考试，要求100%通过。其实主要看英语究竟有过好，其余都简单。

以你自己的评价――英语尚可，那是基本上不用想了
 
如果你仅仅是谦虚，其实你英语巨牛，你可以往这方向努力。别去想你是师范毕业的，那玩意儿没用。在这儿当中小学教师可是比当大学教师难多了。

Don't listen others, do whatever you want. There's nothing impossible.

Try to collect all information and do it. At least you have nothing to lost. And, Toronto is mulit-culture society. I do believe that it's possilbe to hire teacher who has chinese background. Chinese immigrants's kid need teacher who can understand their orignial culture. Society is changing, edcuation system must change.

Btw, I am chinese , but I am doing sales job in here. I am dealing with many local canadians every day. I have co-woker, chinese as well. He has been in this company over 1 year already. His performance is very well.
My ex landlord who is sales director of big software company in Hongkong , he question me when he knows I am going to be sales in Canada. However, I am starting now . Although it's long way to go , it's tough. I am trying and doing my own way.

i am talking with local canadian tearchers recently. They told me there are teacher shortage in here. So you definelty go for that.

you only need study one year in teacher college. Good luck !

最大的可能是教ESL(给新移民的那种）

正规的小学教师，没有可能。除非你没有口音，本地毕业。

Don't listen others. I have a friend who landed to Toronto three years ago.
Now she is a teacher in an elementary school in Toronto. Toronto school board is very open. At least before 2008, It is easy to find a job as a teacher in Canada, especially in the elementary school. Definitly You can try. If you are a teacher in China, you can try to apply the BED program in Education department of any University. It is a 8 month program and then you can get a teaching license. If you can survive from this program and you can pass the interview of Toronto school board, you can find a job as a teacher in Toronto area.

以前每周六的ONMI 2的国语专栏的电视节目,介绍过在安省做老师的要求
 
大致是要有两个本科学位,一个随便是什么,一个是要教育学的本科.它特意提到国内的师范毕业的人,只有一个学位,但是已经修过大部分教育学和心理学,但是却没有学位反应出来.要到安省教师协会(不知道是不是叫这名)他们自己的评估部门去评估你以前的科目,看看是不是能免去重修教育学本科,不过大部分人都是要再去COLLEGE去补一些科目.
至于英文考试,我不清楚,但是我知道一个东欧人,已经在一个中学里教生物了,他的英语我就听不太懂.口音重不说,说得也不流利.

有谁与我同路
 
我就是在考虑当Ontario老师的一位，本人在国内是中学老师，4年经验，教英语的。
注意到UOT有一个 one year training courses，大家一起参加吧。明年9月的课程，今年12月1日的Dead line。感觉挺难的，不知道别的College是不是简单些？
