换雪胎时，大家怎么对付TPMS sensors？
 

想简单点，雪胎连着Rim和Sensor 一起换，结果Tirerack 给我一段：

New TPMS sensors must be initialized at the dealer. This charge is not included in the cost of the sensors. If TPMS sensors are not installed in the wheels, the TPMS warning lights will stay permanently illuminated and an audible chime may also be heard at start-up. The vehicle's VSA (Vehicle Stability Assistance) will not be able to be turned off. In certain winter conditions it is useful to have the VSA turned off.

大家都没有问题吗？只要换上就行？

TPMS is not required by law in Canada. U.S. is the opposite. Not all cars come with TPMS in Canada.

My previous car came with TPMS. I had been running winter tires on Costco steel rims without TPMS sensors for years. No issue with that and personally I think TPMS is useless. If a tire leaks (flat tire) it just feels wrong driving the car. That is my own TPMS.

电脑需要识别轮子的位置，所以换胎后可能需要重新编程或复位，否则灯亮。

我去问了Dealer， 雪胎不装sensor可以，就是灯会亮着，但是急转弯会有小失控，因为那VSA 启动， 春天换回四季胎，那Sensor 仍得要reset，需要连上电脑，价$70.

不知道说得对不对，因为我没听说过谁的车换冬胎这么复杂。

Dealer 也这么说，这样的话，一年得两次跑Dealer， 因为没办法自己做，太麻烦了。

是这样的，RESET需要特殊遥控器，只有DEALER或大的车队有，你要在意这个，价钱合适的话可以考虑买一个。然后从SERVICE MANUEL上或网上找RESET步骤。

呵呵，听说$1700.

那么说起来，很多人换雪胎很麻烦。

城里开车，4季胎换勤一点，完全没必要雪胎，我十几个冬天都这么过来了。

在多伦多可能就是在上下班碰巧下大雪时，路上才有雪，不过那时大家都开得很慢。

看来我趋向于不换了，这种车的设计，根本就没考虑换雪胎时的便利，reset 就一个button 该多好。:smile:

你那个车有没有胎压监测按键，长按那个几秒试试，有的车那个按钮本身就是RESET，防止有些时候读取错误什么的。

买日本车的大有人在哈，俺老说一句。:tongue:

Tiguan 太吵，Local 加速时吵得和上高速时一样，安全测试也不是最好，否则也会考虑它了。你老就开心了。:smile:

我的车换上雪胎跑一段后TPMS灯就亮了，不用管。等春天换回四季胎，灯就灭了。从来都没有reset过。第一次是在dealer处换的，才收25$, 也没说要做reset什么。别的车不是这样吗？

I'm not sure about your car. It never happened to me. I did purposely skid the car while cornering and vsa did kick in normally. No issue found during normal winter driving.

不是一个等级的车吧，这CRV安全等级会压过tiguan。

还有，新车还不去迪乐哪里换雪胎？如果买了tiguan，那是有相应的配套服务的，估计也会是八百来块拿下来全套雪胎+Rim的事。购车的同时，如果忽略了后续的服务，不应该是好deal，即使价格上有优惠。:tongue:

I don't plan to change my four season tires to winter too for my new car. I just have no place to store 4x 19" rim. It will be fine in city driving. Moreover I don't drive to work.

对，我也不大相信Dealer 的说法，按常理，应该是换回四季胎，灯就应该灭了。

看来还得换个Dealer 问问。

你车不知道，但有的车那灯一旦亮就不会自己灭掉。比如，一个胎压偏低致灯亮，补压后灯还要RESET才能灭掉。
