An agent called me for an job opportunity. I failed an interview with this company 5 months ago. Do I need to tell agent about that?

yes,you have to tell the agent,and let the company know this as well.
otherwise, the company knows it later anyway and it's not good if that happens.

if the company (not the agent) has known this and still wants you,that's your second chance.
if the agent knows it but doesn't let the company know,you are the victim or you become statistics; before you go, make sure the agent has told tell them.

I sent resume to a company and got a paper test, failed.
A month later, I send resume again to this company and got paper test again, passed, and got the interview face to face.
It really doesn't matter. Even you didn't mention it and they found it and ask you later, you could say "I suppose you know that.".

you failed a paper test, not face to face interview,i don't think they could remember you based on your test.

a face-to-face is of coures defferent.

I don't see the point of not letting them know; what if they don't ask you why ,but just wonder in their mind about your honesty?
you lose nothing when you tell them and if they don't want you,you save time too.it's much better than later a surprise.

这要看什么样的公司。如果只有二、三十人的小公司，你不说他们也很容易发现。但如果像ExxonMobil, Shell, BP这样几万人的大公司，各部门和不同地区可能各招各的人，互不通气。你上回failed可能是不适合那个职位，并不意味你不适合现在这个职位。即使同一职位，几个月前不适合也不意味着现在就不适合。像这样的大公司，只要雇主没有问你，你没有义务主动告知他们你以前failed过，这不是honesty的问题。总之，找工作，脸皮要厚一点，胆子要大一点。

找第一份工作这么难，如果你在加看过老板炒人兼克扣工资的情景，就不会这么客气了

找第二份... 第n份工作能不说都可以不说。还是那句话，这不是honesty的问题，这是你的权利。找工作时，对自己有利的可以多说一些，不利的可以少说一些或者不主动说。

许多进大公司的人都有申请、failed、再申请、再failed... 的经历，持之以恒、锲而不舍，才能成功。即使面试时，被雇主发现你failed过，当场“抓获”，也没有什么尴尬的。你可以首先感谢他们又给你这次机会，再用非常坚定的语气表示你相信自己是这个职位的最佳人选，然后。。。

找工作的时候，不说的不代表没有，有博士学位也可以不说。

你自己给一个公司天天打电话或者发简历都没有问题


但是如果是通过中介。中介一般会问，确认你近期面试了哪些公司。如果近期已经面试过了，他们不会在递简历了。因为这会给中介找麻烦，我想递多少简历，成功多少，都和他们的信誉和收入相关。 很好理解吧，10个中介如果同一职位递了相同一份简历，这不是给招聘公司找麻烦吗，如果一个中介给一个公司不停递一个相同建立，太不专业了吧

中介发现了，也会对这个人的信誉有所怀疑。

其实面试一次不成功后，如果是相同面试者，我个人觉得再次通过的可能也不太大。除非是另一波人面试。

所以，没必要给同一家递（短期内）。一般中介也不会问3个月以前有过相同公司面试否

谢谢各位回复!俺们这个行业,似乎99.99%的公司都在裁人,只有这一家公司在招,因为他的生意很火!已经有N个中介给俺电话,都是这一家公司!甚至一个中介不同的联系人都在不同的网站贴同一职位!已经毕业半年了,工作没着落,人都快疯了!
