buy a car using foreign license?

before converting to a BC driving license, is it possible for me to buy a car and get it insured with my singapore driving license? my foreign license enables me to drive for 3 months.

BC asks you to convert to local license within 90 days, if you are intending to stay here as a resident. :(

would appreciate you privde some info. buy the way, if i buy a car, i can do more things faster, without being delayed until getting local driving license.

Now i am seeing how to get a local driving license.
