天才班测评结果出来了(toronto)

儿子8岁,三年级.虽知孩子聪明但不大可能是天才,但鉴于学校太差(排名2200),还是参加了测评,结果如下:verbal comprehension scale at 95th percentile,perceptual reasoning 97th percentile. Together, overall general ability at 98th.(孩子4岁来加拿大).问:(1)两项都少于98th,为何总分98th? (2)上天才班的可能性多大? 多谢!

记得好像是全95以上平均97就可以了。不过即使有一科差一点点，学校或家长自己还可以向教育局争取。
所谓天才班的含金量越来越低，主要是好老师越来越少，有时就是给小孩一个增长自信的机会。

多谢各位的回复.在1月份的IPRC meeting,我们要求去gifted class, 得到同意.但须等到5月才知所去学校并参观. 问题:同样在scarborough district, 为什么有的孩子很快得知所去学校,而我孩子要等到5月?

忘了另一个问题:申请junior extended french immersion program 是否回影响gifted program? 谢谢

所有时间均为格林尼治时间 -4。现在的时间是 06:10。
