Machinery Remission Program
The Machinery Remission Program was set up with two objectives in mind:
- To make Canadian industry more efficent, and thus make its products more competive on world markets by encouraging the acquisition and use of advanced machinery not yet availble from domestic.
- To provide tariff protection to Canadian machinery manufacturers as soon as they are able to supply the advanced machinery.
