提前两周是礼貌问题,或者合同约束。
我们公司有个主,周五说不干了,下周一就不来了,也没见得说不给工资。
可能以后他别想找主管当referal了。

It's not just good business practice. It is always best to be honorable in working, and it is your honor on the line, and your level of responsibility and reliability. At the least, tell your new employer that you do not want to leave your job without giving them the minimum of a week's notice. It is the most responsible thing to do. As much as they want you, they should honor your need to do this - any reasonable employer would respect that and understand. If you risk losing the new job, then at least ask for a few days in order to tell your new employers. It's the right thing to do, even if it was a crappy job.
And tell your current manaager that you've received an offer for work that asks that you start right away. Always try to be straightforward in your dealings at work, it will benefit you in the long run. You don't want to leave bad feelings anywhere in the past if you can.
