Power System Electrical Engineer, ABB INC.- Burlington, ON, CANADA
ABB Canada (Burlington Office) is looking for a Power Systems Electrical Engineer to assist the project team and provide technical and engineering support for our Solar and hydro power generation projects.
- Power plant electrical auxiliary system design; including development of cable schedules, development of cable Tray layouts, calculations, equipment sizing for station service MV & LV switchgears, MCC's and panel boards layouts . - Participate in the commissioning of projects as part of site team - Developing commissioning plans, - Coordinate with the Lead Engineer for all the necessary technical requirements of the project in all aspects( engineering, documentation, detail design, data requirements, etc.)
- Electrical Engineer with of 4-7 years electrical design experience in power plants (hydro, thermal, Solar - 2-3 years background in design of MV & LV switchgears, MCC's and panel boards, with emphasis on equipment within power plant environment. - Knowledge of electrical codes & standards ( IEEE, ANSI, NEC,CSA, NFPA, IEC). - Experienced using of 2D Auto-CAD - Ability to travel into the USA - Site experience required. - Protection and substation design experience is an asset
