If I were you, I would go to UT to find a professor with strong industral background and work with him for half year (volunteer or part-time).
If you can demonstrate your strong EE research
ability to him and get a good reference from him.
After that, I do not believe that you can not find a good job!
Obviously, although you came here two years, you still have not had real canada EE experience and also have no a good Canada reference.
