(6 Aug)
Hello Sailing Fans,
It's 2 days to go until the Olympic Games begin!
Yesterday we had our last full practice - we made final choices on the sails we are to use in the event, and tried out some ideas to tweak our settings in the light, choppy conditions. Although speed will be a factor, we'll have to keep our heads up in the racing. The current and winds will be tricky!
Today the boat goes through measurement to make sure that the boat is within all the rules set out by the Yngling class. We're happy we've got Bill here with us. If there are any problems, having the boat builder with us will surely make things easier to fix!
Tomorrow we have a practice race. Boat will be dressed with all the Beijing 2008 stickers and Canadian Flag on our sail. Racing begins at 1 PM on August 9th, with 2 races per day. For up to date racing results, please visit
