我也是同样的情况，联系保险公司后被告知：你可以取消你的保险等回来reinstate。
我确认，并告诉她离开和回来的日期
她回复说：I cancelled the policy for you effective April 29th and will set it up effective July 12. Have a nice trip.
并没有提penalty的事，应该没有吧？
