but for engineering, if your english is good, you'll have more chances to get a job. Around me, most of engineering people speaking good english spend about 4 months find their new jobs.Of course, they really have strong knowledge and enhanced background in engineering. While I was assisting some new immigrants to find jobs, what I found is sometimes their english is very good but they do not have very good background and knowledge in their specialties.They thought they were very good professionals.
