【请问】关于icbc的保险，大家都是上全险么？

我就上了Third-party legal liability coverage，然后再extend到2million的额度。剩下的像collision和comprehensive都没有保，但是看在办理的时候，那个保险经纪一个劲儿的大呼小叫，说从来没见过我这样的。

请问大家办理保险的时候，都怎么保的？是大部分都办理collision和comprehensive么？

还有，如果我没有办理collision和comprehensive，出了事情，如果是对方的责任，我能不能向icbc要求理赔？

不用买全险的，随便你自己选择。我刚来加拿大的时候，穷的叮当响，就买一个最基本的，其他什么都没有碰，然后撞了一次车，TOTAL LOST，还好对方负100%责任，所以赔了不少钱给我。
刚刚上个月买保险，加了个失车和HIT AND RUN的保险。毕竟放在马路边（住HOUSE），这点钱想想还是不要省为妙。

如果只保最低限，则自己责任部分不由保险公司付。后果是，除了事故，即使对方全责，你也不能立即修车，一定要等到ICBC通知付钱的数额和比例才行。
如果你全保，那立即就可修。反正都是ICBC出钱。

collision最好是买，不然除了事故要修的话，如果是你的全责，保险公司不管你的。
而且，同学中有人因为没买collision吃亏的，虽然没有十足的证据，但是也知道是被玩了猫腻了。然后痛心疾首的让我们买，然后没买，然后撞车了，没人赔，车子就废了，不然还会给个报废钱，亏了。

i think the basic and extend to 2m is unavoidable. But the collision and comprehensive is totally optional.

if you drive an old car, and think no one will steal it, you probably don't need the comprehensive.

if you are confident in your driving skill and know yourself is a careful people, skip the collision part is also ok, however it only covers this senario: it's your fault, and it cover the cost to fix your own car. the cost of fixing the the other party's car and compensation if there is any injury will always be covered if you have the basic/extend. And if it's not your fault, then the other party's insurance will cover the cost of fix your car. so it's a limited risk: at the most, i totally damage my car, and I don't drive it anymore.

我记得Basic 里面已经有Third-party legal liability了，只不过是到顶20万，如果还买了extend的话，就是再往上加，就像你的例子，就应该是20万＋200万＝220万。

不知道对不对？



另外，comprehensive在Autoplan Brochure上讲是：
“Comprehensive insurance covers loss or damage to your vehicle by any cause except loss or damage covered by Collision insurance。Comprehensive includes coverage for loss or damage caused by:fire, lightning, theft (except by an employee or member of yourhousehold), vandalism, malicious mischief, windstorm, earthquake...”
那就是说，loss 也算，我就不懂，为什么还要买偷盗的险，请指教！
