请问为什么移动硬盘XP不承认？我有两台计算机，旧的用Windows 2000, 可以读移动硬盘。另外一台新的是XP，USB接口是好的，可连上移动硬盘后计算机没有反应，什么缘故？ 谢谢。

电流不够。

1 楼上说的，USB供电不足，硬盘不能工作。
2 可能是USB线阻抗不匹配，换一条USB线试试看。

我见有人用一个专用接头，把2个USB口和在一起当一个用，这样电流就够了。

你是不是把移动硬盘连在电脑的前置USB接口上？如果是，那你就把移动硬盘连在电脑的后置USB接口上试一试，有可能这个问题就会解决。

USB口应该没有问题，同一个口，用memory Key 和Digital Camera都可以。Device manager中, 在USB Mass Storage Device，得到的是This device cannot start. (Code 10)。试update driver, 系统仍然是推荐使用原driver. 什么缘故？ 谢谢!

1.一般USB移动硬盘会有外接电源的插口，用于增加电流。
2.多个USB移动设备的驱动冲突，全部卸掉，然后重装。碰到严重的，插上机器就重起。

people have already told you that your usb ports don't have sufficient power to feed the hard drive

use a hard drive case with external power supply

it is your machine, not the operation system or else

2. Restart computer. The hard drive showed up (E:, F:, G. Porperties 显示每个区的容量为0 byte. 试拷贝，不工作。
3. Turn off the hard drive, then turn it on. 计算机没有反应。试了几次，换了USB线，没有反应。
期间，外接电源一直接着。硬盘 was made in China, brand: Greatwall.

2. Restart PC.
3. Connect drive to your PC.
4. Turn on external drive (with 外接电源).

我遇到类似情况在不同的机器上，通常的做法是删除USB设备然后再重新扫描硬件设备。有时要反复几次， 但最后都能找到。

移动硬盘要先在LAPTOP上分区格式化后才能在XP上使用
