I saw a bank foreclosure in my area the other day. It was asking 629k. Small detached house and needs all new floor kitchen bathrooms windows. Guess how much it sold for? 704k! People just borrow what they can these day. When interest rate goes up I am not sure how many ppl can really afford their home

He is trying to get our current home paid off as quick as we can and put some cash aside. He believes that we will be able to get nice home under 1 million in banbury street within 3 years. I really hope that will come true. If the market really goes down, I plan to buy 2 small properties as rental . Cross finger. |

现在应该是能借多少借多少,过这村可就没这店了,以后借钱越来越难了。 gta房价从89年后就没有暴涨过,近几年大幅下降的可能性为零。 趁现在利率低赶快下手吧,过两年现在7,80万的房子可能都上百万了,可能还错过了历史罕见的低利率时代。 |

if you guys still are thinking of buying another house, i would suggest you look for it now while interest rate is still quite low (of course if you gonna pay cash for the new house, then thats difference story). The housing market may stay flat for a while, but i don't anticipate a huge drop in housing price. no one can really predict the future. i mean economists cant even do that. To hope that you pay 800k for a 1.2mil house (thats more than 30% drop), the economy must be in very serious trouble, and i dont think anyone would like to see that.

Half of our mortgage was at fixed rate 5.4%. This is the reason we put money into the mortgage. We do not plan to pay off all the variable mortgage. We will use the money on stock market or future new home. But I do think real esate market will drop, 15%-20% is what i expect.

各人生活方式不一样。 我到是赞成你先生的观点, 甚至做的过头。 那就是将所有的能节约的钱都用于还房贷。 一则我的房贷固定利息5。05%,我以前的所有投资赚到5%的很少, 更不要说RRSP 08年时折半, 总值现在还没有恢复。 二则, 我希望过一种无债一身轻的生活, 不期望赚钱的大喜, 也不愿意忍受损钱时睡不着觉。平时不担心, 晚上睡好觉。 还完房贷, 再工作二十年, 结余的钱够我俩再生活二十年应该没有问题。 这样又是四十年,足够了。 |
