告票罚单 【求助】自找倒霉的停车发单，曾经有类似经历的朋友请帮忙

今天我把车停在downtown的一个自动售票的停车场，在自动售票机处取出票后看也没看就走了。回来取车时也没留意，到家后才发现挡风玻璃上压了张停车场开的罚单。这是才发现我买的那张停车票上写着要把它放在dashboard上。我打了罚款单上的电话，customer service要到星期一才上班，现在无法联系。罚款单上写着此单开出就一定得罚。不知道有没有朋友有我这样类似的经历，请指教我下面该怎么办？非常感谢！

Last year when I went to an interview, I parked my car in a public parking lot. I bought an hour, but I stayed there for about one hour and a half, as I was asked to speak to the manager after I spoke with the HR, which was out of expectation. As a result, I got a ticket. I then called the number on the ticket right away. The guy on the other side of the phone asked me to write a letter discribing the whole story and mailed it to an address, which I did. That is the end of it. I did not pay anything extra.
