我7月被LAYOFF,9月发现怀孕,我想去工作600小时,拿产假EI,可我LAYOFF之前身体就不好,现在怀孕了,更不适合工作了,不是后背疼,就是这疼那疼,这种情况有办法拿到产假EI吗?求助~多谢!

It's ok then. you can switch to Mat EI in May. Just call/wirte/fax/go and talk to Service Canada. As long as you have 600 hours in the year ending on your due date minus 8 weeks, you can switch to Mat EI. Keep in mind, you will not get full Mat+Parent EI (52wks) because you are collecting regular EI before the Mat EI. Total of your regular EI + Mat EI = 52 wks. |

She DOESN'T have to wait until her regular EI finishes to switch to Mat EI. She can do so on the date 8 wks before her due date (next May). It will be March-10. As long as she has 600hrs in the period of May-09 ~ May-10, there's no problem to switch to Mat EI. |
