How to close a BMO checking account?

Folks:
I recently opened an account at PC Financial and feel it's quite good. So how can I close my original checking account at BMO? Do I need to physically go to the branch and sign the papers there to close it? Or maybe I can just withdraw all the money in that account and it will automatically be closed?
