As we know that the CAIPS is some computor code, so it does not matter if you could not understand it totally. But try to find out 1. when the CIC sent the mails to you, did you received them? Did they receive your reply when you send back the required metarials. 2.the key time change in your CAIPS Hope these will help you! 引用:

Well, the worst thing in applying to the PR is under background check, so when we have the CAIPS in hands, we like to predict anything from it. Please don't do that if you are not 100% sure that you are under background check. The more you think about it, the more worried you are, and the more unsatisfied you are in your normal life. (comparing to the lucky persons here who got their PR within one year.) For me, I know I am 100% under background check because I faxed my CAIPS to a former CIC immigration officer, who is an expert without doubt. The only clue I recall now is that after my ME I got a form for updating my situation. (But one of my friend got some kind of letter saying it was for background check.) No matter what kind of circumstance, once the background begins we and the Canada government or CIC can not control it. Because it is done by China government (Non-canadian agency). I really don't know how long it will take, which is my question. Only thing I can do now is to wait. If you are in China, try to enjoy your time with your family and friends before you are PR here, and do your best in your work so as to have a good start here. If you are in Canada, well, according to the visa officer:how lucky you are already because you want to be here, and you are. Enjoy your everyday then! If you are in States,... I don't know how to encourage you. Anyway, do your best everyday then! I wish us all good luck! Especially to people are under background check! 引用:

You are so nice
Thank you Kitty_cat. I feel touched by your kindness when reading your messeages including the newest one, though it's not for me. You are a warm-hearted, nice person, optimistic and encouraging... Thanks for your words and good luck to you. In my CAIPS, I found this line ( I don't know it means background check. This is why I did not give the comments before). But as far as I know my background check began four months later than this "referral date". Just give everyone an idea: how long the China government delays us! Please keep in mind that sometimes sth. that shows on your Caips is a time which is set by computer system itself. Let me put in this way: We should have had the background check beginning at that day according to the CIC system, but in the reality the background check is only being conducted when China government begins its work. Again and Still GOOD LUCK! 引用:
