这该从两个角度来说,如果已经在高速上的,应该尽量让要进来的车,通常是变线到左边,让出右道,可是这不是非让不可(DVP上常常没地方可让)。。。。 现在主要从进来的车的角度来说: The following is a description of how you should merge onto a highway safely and without endangering or harming yourself or others. Steps Make sure you are going at the same speed as the traffic you are merging with before you hit the point at which the ramp merges with the highway. This is very important so that those coming up behind you on the highway do not hit you from behind. Put your turn signal on so that the cars on the highway know you are merging into their lane. Look first in your driver's side rearview mirror and then quickly glance out towards the left (when driving in right-side driving countries) and behind you to see if there is any car in your blind spot (the blind spot is the spot that every car has where you cannot see who is really close to you but one lane over behind you). Determine if you have room to merge onto the highway, if you do not (a car is currently beside you) you will have to speed up or down until you have ample space to merge into. Gradually, never abruptly, merge into the lane, following the natural path of the merging ramp. Make sure to maintain your speed, which should be the same speed as the cars in the right lane on the highway. Tips Look at the highway traffic flow as soon as possible in order to help you determine the opening you will want to accelerate into Always turn your head and look, don't just use the rearview mirror, as you will miss cars in your blind spot. Make sure you are going fast enough to merge safely. Pay attention and do not be distracted by other things If you are really nervous and there are others in the car, ask them to be quiet so you can focus. Try to merge into traffic with at least one car length of space in front and behind of your vehicle. You may have to slow down and move in behind the vehicle traveling beside you. Do not try to "punch it" to get in front of this vehicle. You may run out of room to do so. Remember to check if you can stay in the lane you have just merged into. In many major cities, the right-most lane is a commuter lane that is only open during certain hours. Always keep an eye on how much of the merge lane remains. Merge lanes, even on the same highway can vary greatly in length. If you cannot merge onto the highway, and have the option to exit, do so. You can always loop around and try again. It is your responsibility to merge into traffic. The traffic already on the highway has the right of way. You must adjust your speed accordingly and merge safely. |

这些都是非法律条款.我说的是by law,假如说在并线的时候发生碰撞,怎么判定事故责任方. tips大家知道一下是好的.但是有理论支持恐怕更好 我能找到的只有这个 Right of way (2) Every driver approaching an intersection shall yield the right of way to any vehicle in the intersection that has entered it from an intersecting highway. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 135 (2).

139. (1) Every driver or street car operator entering a highway from a private road or driveway shall yield the right of way to all traffic approaching on the highway so closely that to enter would constitute an immediate hazard. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 139 (1). 你上面的条款不是描述进入高速的情形。 |

Highway Traffic Act 139说的是Right of way on entering highway from private road 这里的Highway区别于Private road而言.不是真正我们说的highway "highway” includes a common and public highway, street, avenue, parkway, driveway, square, place, bridge, viaduct or trestle, any part of which is intended for or used by the general public for the passage of vehicles and includes the area between the lateral property lines thereof; (“voie publique”) |
