Checking Engine light on, code P0300
Corolla 2000 LE, 99000km, Checking Engine light 在一周内亮了3次. 有一次刚点燃车灯就亮了;有两次是刚点车灯不亮, 没有马上还档走, 而是习惯性热车一会儿, 等到踩刹车,放手闸,换D档准备走时灯就亮了. Dealer检查, 读码都是P0300- mutil cylinder misfire. 第一次reset, 第二次换了4个Spark plug; 这第3次说是确诊了: injector在engine冷时不正常,当engine温度上来后就正常, 建议换掉4个injector (每个$180!!), 修车可真是一个无底洞!! 请教何师傅有何建议? 有必要更换injector吗? 清洗injector 有帮助吗? 另外此车还有一点powertrain warranty, safety restrain systems, and some emission control components warranty. 请问injector应属于其中的warranty吗? (Dealer说不是). |

请帮我看看
今天下午在SHEPPARD&DON MILL上, 刚过红灯, 速度不是很快, 30-40KM, 前面的车由于塞车停下, 我觉得距离足够,但踩刹车车子就是停不下来, 一直顶到前面车, 好在撞的不是太重, 前面车的司机下来看看, 没什么事说声OK就走了. 当时在下雨, 我的车有ABS, 为什么踩了刹车就停不下来呢, 眼睁睁看着撞上去, 我的刹车一向挺灵的, 踩一点就会减速, 真搞不懂. 另外有时踩了刹车, 但路上颠簸, 脚下就会感觉刹车有点失灵, 总是松开一点再踩才觉得踩实了, 是我的刹车有问题吗? 请有经验的朋友帮忙看看.

何师傅,请看看我的大灯!
我的车是97年Corolla,发现右大灯(High beam)不亮,原以为灯泡烧了,换了一个灯泡后,才发现并不是灯泡烧了那麽简单。用手一直提着远光灯杆,右大灯能够打出远光灯,说明灯泡能够给电,但一松手,右大灯就不亮了。仔细一检查,才发现和右大灯灯相连的两条联线被连根剪断,一个朋友说可能是控制线?仔细回忆,好象在一个修车店换完机油后,我的右大灯就好象开始不亮了。我不知被剪的是始末东东,但现在晚上开着“独眼龙”很危险。请问,何师傅,被剪的可能是始末东西,很贵吗?象我这种情况,要花多少钱加始末东西才能修好我的右大灯(我的灯泡已经证实是好的)。 万分感谢! |

TO: TOM ZHU. BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR CAR TO CHECK. I WANT TO ASK YOU, DID YOUR CAR HAVE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON? IF DIDN'T, I WANT YOU DO THIS TEST, GET A CAN BRAKE CLEANER(C-T HAS IT), SPRAY AT INTAKE MAINFORD SEE ENGINE IDLE AND RPM IF CHANGES OR NOT, BECAUSE INTAKE AIR LEAK MAY DO THE SAME PROBLEM. LET KNOW. |

I saw your latest thread on the china smile. Let me try to give you the whole story. This car run pretty well in the past four years except the check engine light came on once about two years. I brought it to the dealer and it was fixed under warranty. I was told the intake gasket leak and it was pretty common on 2000 protege. Until about three weeks ago, I start having the problem. About 5-10 minutes right after I drove the car from last time. I started the car and felt it shaking heavily. After couple of seconds the check engine lights start flashing. Since I had baby on board so I decided to drive it back first. After driving 10-15m on the road, I felt a hunting then the shaking stopped and the car run well. The light stayed on for couple of day then went off. At about half and half chances, I got the same problem right after the car is hot (right after driving). I changed the spark plug, flush the fuel system but it seems not helping. I also bought a OBD 2 scanner on the ebay and tried to scan the code out first. However the scanner doesn't work on Japanese car. Until last weekend, after I off the highway and waiting on the red, the car start shaking at idling again and the check engine light kept flashing. I tried to keep driving (because the shaking would went away in the previous if I kept driving it) but this time the problem stayed. I drove about five minutes and finally pulled over at the closed Mazda dealer (at yonge/steel) to check. Too bad they were very busy at time and I had to go home first. I started the engine again and it didn't shaking this time but the check engine light kept flashing, even the car was still hot. I drove another five minutes with the light flashing to home and the shaking didn't come back when idling. At this moment, I can start the car with NO shaking or vibration at all but the check engine light is keeping flashing. I decided not to drive it until I come to your or go to the dealer for service. I didn't try the brake spray because it is too late to go to C-T, also the lgiht does stay flashing when the engine is on. Also I had check the spark plug wire and coil resistance too and it seems okay. Should I check the resistance of the EGR or IAC? This is about the whole story and I hope not to confuse you too much.
