SPRD is moving toward its IPO high of 16...

all Chinese stocks and ADRs related to 3G market are rising nicely... not only big blue chip telecom giants CHL, CHU, CN moving high, a lot of small and medium cap stocks related to China's 3G market are doing well recently, such as SPRD, VIMC, COGO, GRRF, ASIA, QXM, TSTC ... The official 3G announcement later looks coming soon and that will give a huge push to all these stocks...

　　新浪科技讯 9月27日，知情人士透露，国内最大的手机芯片公司之一的展讯将收购美国著名芯片公司LSI的WCDMA芯片部门，目前该项收购正在洽谈中，尚未公布。

　　LSI也是全球最大的芯片公司之一，其于今年4月并购了著名的手机芯片公司杰尔(Agere)，并在8月份将整合后的移动产品部卖给了英飞凌公司，价格为4.5亿美元的现金，如果业绩达到一定程度，对方还将在2009年第一季度再支付5000万美元。

　　据悉，展讯将收购整合后的原LSI的WCDMA业务部门，主要是因为英飞凌已经有了自己的WCDMA团队，因此就不需要LSI的这部分人员和资产，所以现在LSI即将与展讯就WCDMA展开合作，包括可能将WCDMA芯片部门出售给展讯。

　　此前，中国国内的GSM手机芯片主要由德州仪器、意法
半导体、英飞凌、LSI、联发科、ADI、展讯提供，其中，英飞凌收购了LSI的手机芯片部门，联发科收购了ADI的手机芯片部门，再加上展讯将收购LSI的WCDMA芯片部门，手机芯片部门可谓越来越少。

　　据悉，展讯将收购LSI的WCDMA芯片部门可能是为了对付老对手联发科。最近联发科通过ADI的手机芯片部门进军TD-SCDMA领域，威胁到了展讯在TD-SCDMA芯片领域中的地位，展讯则可能是为了反击，则选择了WCDMA领域率先布局。

YGE is making new 52-wk high...
TSL is heading to 65 soon and JASO add 1.27...
CSUN, SOLF, CSIQ are rebounding nicely...
STP JASO a little weak today but also moving ...
FSLR, SPWR all making new highs now...

I added a position today at 59.80 and then the position was stopped out at small gain... later on I entered a position again at 51.50 near the market close....

Then I saw the bad news on Yahoo saying LDK's financial controller leaving the company and a discrepancy in inventory... I decided to exit again due to the nature of the news in AH trading at 48.90... I will wait and let the dust settle down then decide whether will buy this stock again or not tomorrow... LDK may get a news release out tomorrow to clarify the situation....

In my opinion, this news in regard to financial controller leaving the company and a discrepancy in inventory is no big deal ... it may cause short-term pressure for the stock price (as it did today) but the price should come back in a few weeks... because the fundamentals of LDK has not changed...
