We have a very successful meeting tonight.
Dear All, Thank Baozi and Jimmy for calling for the 3rd meeting, we have been able to meet 9 peoples (from 8 families) together. As usual, everybody first introduce himself/herself, tell each other what everybody wants and how we could cooperate together. After discussion, we do have reached some agreements: 1). We do a business (builder) together. 2). We agree to start a small project similar as the example discussed in the meeting. This project does not need big amount of money to start, but has enough space to develop into a huge one (millions, even bigger). 3). Jimmy will take one more week to look for more candidate projects for us. We may go there together to have a look before making the final decision about our first project. Of course, everybody is still welcome to bring in new proposals about our first project before our final decision. It's so nice to have seen our new potential partners in tonight's meeting. We have the same purpose. We can frankly and effectively exchange ideas. We have significantly narrowed our difference and very sucessfully integrated our minds together. We are getting closer and closer to our goal by meeting together. Now our next step is very clear. I'm sorry to have missed those members we met in the last two meetings including Baozi, Peter, Steve, Victoria, Mr.Zhu ... and all of those peoples who have expressed the interest at the meeting. Hope you could please join our next meeting. Thank Jimmy again for providing us such a nice meeting room. All attendees of tonight's meeting could please correct and add what I summarized here about the meeting. Meeting is very important.
Dear All, Tomorrow's meeting should start at 7:30PM and end at 10:00PM. Please show up on time and let's complete it on time too. About meeting, I have some suggetions. 1) Everybody who wish to have a business together should try best to attend the meeting. Although we have telephone, internet and other means, the talk face to face is still the best way to know each other, resolve the difference, integrate everybody's mind and finally reach an agreement. If you attended the meeting, you know exactly what happened in the meeting and respect the decision. When you missed it, you may have a lot of question about the meeting and then misunderstanding comes out. In that case, it's not always easy to explain it to you and convince you the decision is right. I understand that we may not able to participate the meeting. In that case, please tell us why you could not come, e.g., time conflit. We may change the time for the convenience of the majority. 2) Everybody who wish to attend the meeting should register it. In this way, we could better set up the meeting. Thank Jimmy's contribution, we do have quite big, quiet and nice room to accommodate a lot of peoples. However, we do not want to waste our members' resources if it's not necessary. 3) Everybody who will attend the meeting should well prepare the meeting. Please post your questions. We could have a discussion in advance and make the meeting more effective. Of course, you could please keep it as a secret if you do not feel it's appropriate to show it in public. 4) Limit the time when you speak in the meeting. In case we have a lot of attendees, the time may be very precious. Please well organize your speaking and save our time. 5) In my opinion, the most important thing is to respect the decision. Obeying to the majority's decision is the only way we could do business together. Before the decision, you could please frankly and directly express your idea no matter what you want to say. However, if the decision is already made, please stop any augument and simply go ahead to carry it out, even the decision is in contrast to your own willingness. For example, I wish to go to North. If the decision is to go to South, I will forget the North and go to South too. Otherwise we will have to keep talking, talking forever and never be able to start our business. Sincerely, WuYing |

Land Visit on Saturday (April 02 of 2005)
Dear All, We are going to visit a land on Saturday (April 02). It's located between Orillia and Gravenhurst (90 minutes driving from Toronto). The lot is about 12 aces. We will buy it and develop it together. We could arrange carpool there. The compensation rate of driving expense will be at $0.2/Km and could be shared by all of passengers including the driver. Before leaving, we could also discuss other interesting lands you found, especially those lands located in the same direction. In this way, we could see more lands. 大家好： 前几天看了一片子，纽约的一些人，搞了个叫CO-HOUSING的项目。 在几个人的操作下，大家在纽约买块地，户型按各自的需求定，通过集中供暖，预制房屋构件等举措，解省了开支，建了一个花园般的小区。 若有足够的人参加，建个自己的社区，再留下商业用地（房），有的工作，有的经商，或多建一些用于租售，岂不是多些收入－－－－ 我一自关注你们的话题，但不了解买地（或旧房）－建房（翻建）－出售获利这样的事对没太多经验的大家可行性有多大。不过房子是个好话题。 祝大家成功！ |

我们一行五人(来自四个家庭)考察了那块地。那是一块12英 亩 (100米X500米)的小山地。一侧紧邻11号高速，领一侧则是一片COTTAGE。有条大 河大约位于5分钟步行的范围内。标价是$35000。大家的想法是，花少量的投资，推 平一小块地，在上面能停上几部车以及MOBILE HOUSE。这样我们就可把它当成夏天 CAMPING、冬天驾驶SNOWMOBILE的好地方了。我们当时是4家人，想有十家或更多人 一起干。后来更多的人一起开会后觉得，还是去找一处直接临水、离TORONTO 2-3小 时的地方。 您要是有什么好主意，请说来听听。 |
