又浏览了一遍，累死偶了！

I updated firmware for my friend abd worked in front me.
he brought it home and did not work. he brought back to me and I tried and it was good.
and same thing ahppened when he back to home. DID NOT WORK!!!

when he click the "IMS" , came up the main screen. click the HDPfans. PBO was just thinking and thinking and thinking. won't get next screen. he tested RJ45 cable, good. ip address is assigned as well. all connection good.

he is using Dlink router. would that be firewall issue or sth else?

Try to use the real DNS. Go to your router, get your real DNS ip address. Then go to pbo network setting -> manual IP settings -> set DNS ip.

PBO does not renew IP address automatically, it obtains IP once and reuses it, so your friend has to reset the IP address at his home by going to network settings, dynamic IP and "ok", PBO will then search for new IP address and save it.

Anyone tried using 8GB USB drive or Memory Card on card reader to update firmwire?

I just bought a PBO from ME for about $42 after price match and rebate, and a patroit N USB adapter for about $7.5 after price match.

Never mind. I've upgraded it last night with a 2gb memory card on a card reader. Bricked it at first and then recovered it by shorting SW3. Pretty easy and pretty impressed by the little thing.

主要是1073芯片的盒子已经是昨日黄花了, 没啥新东西出来.

没得到三十rebate，总共花了九十，加无线网插（15），不过挺喜欢这个小东西的

Make sure you have the PBO remote_key file in the USB stick along with the firmware.

你在pbo的网站上查询到你的rebate信息吗? 处理状态是什么? 有写信去询问吗?
我在7月底买的, rebate 是9月初才收到, 一张35块的american express卡.

Checked already and got their email as well. rejected

I followed the step carefully because it is realated to money. but......

I called them and blamed them. they said they will invest. But I don't think so

你怎么这么倒霉. 好好和他们说, 应该会拿到的. 我觉得他们的售后服务还不错.
我的一个box开机没显示, 自己懒得弄它,主要是没有ttl线, 就把盒子单独寄给他们, 结果几天后, 他们就寄了一个全新包装过来, 包括电源和遥控器等.

那片伤痛已经慢慢的痊愈，经您这么一点播，我决定下午回家再给他们打电话试试，要是成了，带孩子们吃顿麦当劳，也该改善一下生活了。
