关于CIBC的服务费

最近几个月一个帐号每次都被扣掉服务费$3.9,以前听说存款低于1500的时候要扣服务费的,但我还以为美圆也算在内呢.今天一问,原来不包括美圆帐号的钱.
此外,银行服务员告诉我,放在投资帐号里面至少1000块就不收服务费,我也放了,今天也问明白了,投资帐号里面的钱跟cheque帐号里面的也没关系.就是说每个帐号都要保持1500以上,不然就要收服务费.请大家小心.
顺便也问一下大家,别的银行也这样收服务费吗?

任何银行都是这么做的.
你在银行的几个帐户都是独立的.各有个的MIN BALANCE的要求.没有可以累加的.
他们给的STATEMENT不也是一个帐号一个帐号分开来的嘛.

切,谁知道它一个银行搞这么多名堂,我把钱都送到一个屋子里,就被七零八碎分成那么多块.这么说来那个投资帐号还有什么意义?如果不是为了维持不收服务费,我也不会想到投资.

Be careful with all the fees they charge....I heard that if you close this investment account, CIBC will charge $500; and they didn't put that on the information booklet.

CIBC在六月扣了我20多元手续费，当时就投诉过，但不强烈。上个月，想起来还是很气愤，并且已经在PC开了户，CIBC就无所谓了，所以再次投诉，说如果不退钱就销所有CIBC的帐户。结果就真的把六月的退了，但七月的还有5元多还是没退。
等下个月把牛奶金帐户转了真的给他销户算了。

而且只取过一次钱,真是有毛病,这月如果再扣,也打算撤了

请注意，一个月时间内，任何时候的balance都不能低于1500，才会免掉服务费！

For my experience in BMO, only my checking account needs the minimum balance. The other account can be zero. Of course, investment account is another story.

sure, PC financial also join CDIC, their cheque has same feature as the one of any other bank, i.e. CIBC, RBC, or Scotiabank.
I opened PC account one month after landing, very suitable for new immigrant. and I found the PC debit card can take and transfer money at the ABM of 7-11 chain store, no any charge, because that machine is Amicus bank. any good bank is ING, very high interest CDN2.25% ;USD1.00%. the
CIBC is just 1.5%

Auctually, CIBC has two canadian checking acctount now.

The old one which most of us have, is unlimit transaction and no monthly fee if you keep 1.5k balance in the account.

The new one is keep 1k balance, then no monthly fee, but only 10 transactions, if over it, you need to pay extra fee.

You can change the old plan to the new plan, but can not change back, since the old one no longer for sale.

I change my plan, since I hardly use 10 transactions, and also I let them reverse me the monthly fee for three months, since I never get notice. If any extra charge not reasonable, just let them reverse for you, don't hesitate, but of course, pls be resonable.
