I am not sure if it is background checking or only update form, what's mean "IA time". I have not sensitivity background. Hope everything is well!

今天真郁闷，RCMP竟然把我们2月份做的指印给寄丢了，也就是说我们白等了2-3个月的时间，天呀，怎么会有这种事情发生，现在RCMP让我们重新做手印，真要被折腾出心脏病了

我也很关注你提的问题，在时间上我和你的情况差不多，唯一的差别是我5月份收到了update file(这表格以前也填过的）。
建议你写信去问问。

昨天刚收到CaipsNotes的信息，看了半天也不大明白：
1. " Referral required " 是什么意思？
2. " Sent referral "又什么意思？

I saw your kindly informations again and again today! Many thanks for your a lot of encouragments for me, you are really so nice:）I asked CaipsNote which is agent what's meaning in CaipsNote's words, their feedback is background check.

We only do thing is wait, I remembered in another webstation that the girl who also is under background check,but she do some cooperation actions for China Government.For example, she provided some more detailes of personal history in order to shorten this step, then she got success. Maybe this way is OK, I also don't know.

You are right, we can do thing is enjoy our time, enjoy life, enjoy everyday!

Well, the worst thing in applying to the PR is under background check, so when we have the CAIPS in hands, we like to predict anything from it. Please don't do that if you are not 100% sure that you are under background check. The more you think about it, the more worried you are, and the more unsatisfied you are in your normal life. (comparing to the lucky persons here who got their PR within one year.)

For me, I know I am 100% under background check because I faxed my CAIPS to a former CIC immigration officer, who is an expert without doubt. The only clue I recall now is that after my ME I got a form for updating my situation. (But one of my friend got some kind of letter saying it was for background check.)

No matter what kind of circumstance, once the background begins we and the Canada government or CIC can not control it. Because it is done by China government (Non-canadian agency). I really don't know how long it will take, which is my question.

Only thing I can do now is to wait. If you are in China, try to enjoy your time with your family and friends before you are PR here, and do your best in your work so as to have a good start here. If you are in Canada, well, according to the visa officer:how lucky you are already because you want to be here, and you are. Enjoy your everyday then! If you are in States,... I don't know how to encourage you. Anyway, do your best everyday then!

我记得很久以前是在www.bluemaple.ca
上看到的一个贴子，今天找了一下没找到。
贴子大致的意思是当得知背景调查后，不能干等着，要积极配合调查，例如写一份更详细的个人情况，包括所在公司的联系电话，以方便和加速调查。
但我想如果移民局真要调查的话，也不会告诉我们具体的时间，即便我们想积极配合，那应该去找谁联系呢，还有真要写一份更详细的个人情况，会不会有些画蛇添足！
真希望我们经历相似的人多交流一下

我好长时间没到这里来了，向大家问好！
Vansky988;Halfax:我也是申请移民两年多了，并且被通知背景调查；来到这里感觉焦急的心有了停泊的港湾；
Polytech：我今天查e-online,终于发现多了一条：Medical results have been received.
我的Case是这样：
2002.8 Applied;
2003.1 FN
2004.2 Medical
2004.3 refilled back ground form
2004.3-9 (整整6个月）最后才得知已做好的手印并未寄到Buffalo, 于是重新做了一个手印；
中途问过Caipsnotes,从里面的信息中已隐约感到被背调了，并且在这个贴子的朋友指导下，心里更加明确了。
2004.12收到第三封信被告知背景调查（已是预料之中了：（
今天刚上网查到变为ME received, 但还是in process.（我的体检也已过期）
祝同是背调的朋友们大鸡大利！
同时也谢谢Sinonian兄一直关注这个贴子，没让这么好的贴子沉下去！
