昨天(July 2, 2005) 晚上刚刚回到EDMONTON: 一次毕生难忘的旅行。

行程6000KM, 总计八天：

Day 0: Edmonton to Calgary (下了班才出发

); Stay @ a friend's
Day 1: Calgary to Yellowstone; Camping @ Yellowstone
Day 2: Stay & Camping & Fishing @ Yellowstone
Day 3: Stay & Fishing @ Yellowstone; Leave for Grand Canyon; Stay @ motel
Day 4: Arrive @ Jacob Lake; Camping @ National forest
Day 5: Stay @ Grand Canyon North Rim; Leave for South Rim; Camping @ South Rim
Day 6: Stay @ Grand Canyon South Rim; Leave for Home; Stay @ motel
Day 7: Leave for Home; Shopping @ Salt Lake City; Stay @ motel
Day 8: Leave for Home; FB @ Calgary; Back to Edmonton

每日作息较满：

06:00AM 起床
06:30AM - 04:00PM 当日行程
04:00PM 前往下一站
07:00PM 宿营准备
09:00PM 睡觉

If you go with Highway 87->89->YSNP in the states, it will take about 11 hours. For Highway 15, it will be 12 hours.

加拿大的国家公园票到美国可以用吗？

No. However, the pass is quite reasonable. $20 pass will be valid for 7 days for each National Park.

听说yellow stone不是很好玩, 是真的吗？

Personally, I like it. Landscape is much similar to Jasper. However, it has many more valcano scenic areas, which are quite unique.

还有个问题是：你们怎么不到las vegas? 还差500KM就到了

I intentionally avoided that area. Actually, I was only 200KM away of LV. I am a pretty much a nature guy. Man-made stuff is not my type. And be prepared for the crazy traffic in big US cities. Driving in Salt Lake City is already crazy enough. ;-)

By the way, I was on my own. No "你们".

just found this thread. Are you still there ? Question : How long in advance we should reserve the camp site there?

Actually, I didn't reserve anything in advance. Most of the national parks are quite empty, even at Yellow Stone.

However, my SUV is bigger enough for myself to sleep inside anywhere if I had to.
