收到一封NAIT的e-mail,该如何选择？请朋友们多多指点。
我已经接到NAIT的录取通知了，是从semester 1开始，为期2年。 又接到NAIT的program head的E-MAIL,他写信告诉我，鉴于我的背景，认为我从semester 1读纯属wast of time。他建议withdraw semester 1的录取，转而申请semester 3。 但是他又同时告诉我，withdraw semester 1,那就意味着放弃NAIT的一次录取机会。而我要申请semester 3，他并不能确保我被录取，因为semester 2升为SEMESTER 3的学生要被首先考虑。我能不能录取，他要到时候看有没有seats. 我是不是该放弃semester 1的录取，去申请这个有着如此不确定因素的semester 3?我又没谱了. 那位朋友有这方面的经验，还望多多指点。 先谢了！ 此帖于 Apr 15th, 2005 09:52 被 嵩山 编辑。 |

我不是很清楚你这个SEMESTER 是什么概念. 难道不能象大学里的一样转学分吗? 即使是COLLEGE也可以转学分的啊. 这里好象都是学分制, 不是学期制的. 还有, 我认为你应该自己有个谱, 如果这次机会对你是很重要的, 那就接受这个OFFER, 如果你还有其他的机会, 就尝试你说的3. 最后一点, 我认为只要进去了, 就有机会转. 进学校后再说, 多跟老师交流, 我想转的机会应该挺大的. 说的不一定对, 主义还是要你自己拿. 祝好运.

你好。 非常感谢你的回复。 看来是我没有把事情说清楚啊。 我当时申请和收到的和录取的都是semester 1,也就是1年级的入学。 但由于我大学本科所学的专业和NAIT接近，故Program Head看了我的成绩单，给我e-mail,建议我withdraw semester 1's offer，他认为我从semester 1开始读，是waste of time,并 recomand me to make an application for semester 3，也就是从第二学年开始读，这可是我梦寐以求的阿，只读一年就可以毕业了！但他接着告诉我，申符合条件申请semester 3，并不意味着被录取，要看到时候有没有seats.因为semester 2的学生会被首先考虑。 我现在苦恼的就是这个，他给我出了个难题。接受semester one 的offer, 意味着多读一年。而放弃这个offer,直接申请semester 3,按照Program Head的说法，则不一定有seats。 朋友们，还有没有更好的办法，你们看我该咋办？：（ 此帖于 Apr 18th, 2005 11:29 被 嵩山 编辑。 |

I have examined the documents you have provided and performed an assessment of your education relative to the courses in the XX Program. As a result of the assessment I have determined it is possible to award to you transfer credit XX program directly into semester 3 and earn a diploma in one year (two semesters). I recommend you do not enter this program into semester one. It would be mostly a waste of time. If you choose to come directly into third semester here is how it would work for you. Semester three begins at the same time as semester one - August 29. You should immediately notify the Registrar's office you wish to withdraw your application to enter XX into semester one. You should let me know you have withdrawn you application and wish to be immediately listed for a place in third semester. I cannot enrol you into semester three until I am sure I have room for you. The students who are currently in semester two have first call on those seats. About May 24 I should know if I have a seat available. If you contact me on that date and there is a seat available we can process you into the program. Once you do withdraw your application for semester one you will have lost your position in that semester and, if I have no room in third semester, you will not be able to get in there either. On the other hand, as I mentioned, there is little point in your attending the first two semesters. Please contact me to let me know your decision and if you have any questions. 请各位兄弟姐妹帮我出出主意，看这个问题该如何处理。 接受semester 1的录取，就要意味着多读一下，的确不是我的本意。 但要是withdraw了，而直接申请semester 3,则不一定能够被录取。 那位朋友有何良策，还望多多指教！ |

首先祝贺。 我告诉你最总的结果吧。 1、你withdraw课程了，可以从term3开始读，等读完了term4后你没有diploma。因为你的总学分不够。就等于你花钱上课了，update education。 2、你想要diploma就要从term1开始。 3、你毕业超过7年了就不能转学分。 4、我同学转了10门课，她也要读2年。因为课程不能combine,即你不能同时选不同term的课。why? 因为要修term2的课，你必须完成term1的课，以此类推。 |
