Indicators that the worker is an employee ■ The worker is not usually responsible for any operating expenses. ■ Generally, the working relationship between the worker and the payer is continuous. ■ The worker is not financially liable if he or she does not fulfil the obligations of the contract. ■ The payer determines and controls the method and amount of pay. |

You may have self-employment income from a business, a profession, commission, farming, or fishing. Business income includes income from any activity you do for profit or with reasonable expectation of profit. A business includes: •a profession; •a calling; •a trade; •a manufacture; •an undertaking of any kind; and •an adventure or concern in the nature of trade. Employment income is not business income. |
