good news ------- Roaming Messenger Earns Microsoft Certification 09:13 EDT Tuesday, October 05, 2004 SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (Business Wire) -- Roaming Messenger(TM) (OTCBB:RMSG) today announced that Microsoft(TM) has certified Roaming Messenger's breakthrough communication product for use on Windows Mobile-based Pocket PCs. Through this certification, Microsoft has granted Roaming Messenger the right to use and include the "Designed for Windows Mobile" logo on associated Roaming Messenger product packaging as well as product marketing materials. "Logo certification by Microsoft is a strong indicator of the robust nature surrounding our mobile handheld and smart phone mobile messaging product," stated Jon Lei, President and CEO of Roaming Messenger. "Key criteria that Microsoft considers before granting certification are ease of use, stability, and value to the consumer. We are proud that our team hit all of those targets." "This is a key step in the development of our overarching product sales strategy because the penetration of Windows Mobile platforms in the mobile sector is so predominant," continued Mr. Lei. This is the first of several supported devices for which Roaming Messenger is anticipating Logo Certification from Microsoft. In the near future Roaming Messenger is slated to receive certification for other Microsoft platforms, including Microsoft Smartphone and the Windows XP desktop platform. In addition to the Windows based platforms, Roaming Messenger currently operates on RIM's Blackberry devices, with support for Palm and Symbian devices expected to be forthcoming. |
