从这周开始，加拿大的一些主要油公司开始发季报了。

据说80美元的油价是油公司的成本线，而2011年油价大部分运行在80-110美元之间，这些油股的表现却不尽人意。

我会介绍比油股表现更好的板块，大家可以关注。

"MLP"

MLPs are not like regular corporations and do not get taxed on income. Instead they tend to return most of their income (typically 85 to 90%) to investors or partners through quarterly distributions. This shifts the tax responsibility to the partners, who are taxed at their ordinary income rates. Since ordinary income rates of investors are typically lower than the income tax rates of corporations, this proves to be advantageous to the MLPs and hence their investors.

A Master Limited Partnership (MLP) combines the tax benefits of a limited partnership with the advantages of a publicly-traded company. When you compare that rate against the rate you paid for your 2007 personal income, the tax advantages of MLPs are laid out in sharp relief.

Limited partners are only liable for the amount they've invested, unlike general partners who have unlimited personal liability. Limited partners invest capital and then receive the tax benefit of a personal income tax deduction for part of the loss during the development stages of the partnership when the costs exceed any revenues. Limited partnerships are common when businesses are in development stages, but MLPs are unique in that their units are traded publicly like stock, creating much more liquidity for investors.

The performance of companies in the energy infrastructure industry is not highly correlated with the price of oil and other types of energy, but rather with the demand for energy. The demand for energy is far less volatile than commodity energy prices and generally increases steadily over time, resulting in steady, predictable cash flows for companies in these industries.


这个族群里：
头牌是EPD：市值最大。
最有明星范儿的是KMP:经常出现在JIM CRAMER的MAD MONEY节目里. 前几天发季报表现不好，跌了几天，机会有如白驹过隙，稍纵即逝。
最生猛的是OKS：去年涨幅40%，还不算分红4.2%, 只是成交量小点儿。

上周发生了一个标志性的事件：稻子创了4年新高，可是我感觉确是不妙。
原因有很多：
1 股指创新高，调整也快来了（个人经验而已）
2 加币悄悄的超过美金了（这个情况不会持续很长时间：如2008-2009，加币曾涨到1.3，结果大的经济危机来临；去年曾一度持平，结果市场打了个喷嚏...）
3 VIX & VXX指数也告诉我们市场很快就会拐了。
不管怎样，还是小心为上。

The S&P was up 4.4% in January, the best January performance since 1997. Since 1950, January gains of 4% or more resulted in an average full year gain of 15%.



The strong January Barometer (as January goes, so goes the year) follows a positive Santa Claus Rally and First Five January Days indicator. According to Stock Trader’s Almanac, this trifecta has occurred 27 times since 1960. Full year gains followed 92.3% of the time. Statistically, there’s a 92.3% chance that 2012 will be an up year with gains expected to be around 15%.



Although not supported by historical stats, my outlook for U.S. stocks is much less bullish. The challenge today, as was last year, will be to balance the up side potential of a liquidity and momentum driven market with the understated down side risk of an over extended market

Friday’s gains turned trend following technicals positive and gave this rally an air of legitimacy. Trading volume was elevated (905 million shares, which is still low but higher than average) and prices pushed above resistance at 1,325 – 1330. While it is not prudent to bet against trend following technicals, we know that trend following indicators can be treacherous as they often turn positive at the worst of times.

周末时，想到一个问题：facebook上市，除了renn，还有微博大佬sina会受益，是不是在仓位里加点儿？

结果今天早晨招到当头棒喝：sohu出季报后大跌，连带玩搜索引擎的bidu，sina下跌。

查了一下，sina在本月27日发Q4，还是静观为妙。
不过sina的52wk Range: 46.86 - 147.12，现在价格71，
reward/risk ratio=3.16

还没搜索到我要说的这种dayt trading的一个技巧，即使是在著名的stockchart.com的网站上。

我要说的跟他们说的是两码事，让我用中文解释一下：
就是一只股票在上升通道过程中，某天早盘开盘突然gap down，但当天股价收复失地，甚至更高。
今天yoku的走势又一次完美的演绎了这个day trading的神话，不愧我以前对高盛这个庄稼的分析。
YOKU前收24.18，不知何故晨开22.49，收盘24.73，全天震幅近10%。
另外QIHU受消息影响：

QIHU前收19.05，晨开17.78，下跌6.6%。最低16.78，收盘17.89，如果哪位盘中海底捞，最大也可6.6%。从最低16.78到收盘17.89到前收19.05，QIHU已经收复一半失地。按照这个速度，明天就会过19快了.
我在暗笑今天斩仓出局的过几天肯定肠子都会悔青了。。。

深入研究才发现，在2009年的经济危机时，只下跌了15%，去年8月有次10%左右的下跌也只是因为管线泄漏。相比其他的加拿大管线公司如想铺KEYSTONE的TRP.TO表现更是不俗。得了就是它了：
过了圣诞节，用一个FULL SERVICE的账号：01/06/2012，成本37.760，服务费1.3%。

在第一页的第一贴，我比较了一些美国的DOLLAR店，现在把DOL.TO加入后得到的是同样的结论：由于一些公司只有两年多的上市历史，就把时间轴设定在2yrs。发现DLTR表现最佳+170%，DOL.TO是+110%。

Qihoo 360's Mobile Apps Back on Apple's iTunes App Store
