Some thoughts for reference:

Moncton could be a better destination for some new immigrants, but definitley not for MANY since it does not have enough opportunities for them.

For me it is too far away. I really do not know how long it will take if I want to fly back to China on vacation. It is a too exhausted trip even from Toronto to Beijin.

Call center is definitely not a good profession for most immigrants. It is just a low-pay job for suviving and practising English. As far as I
know, people working in call center include local people without good education, high school or college students seeking extra money for fun, and new immigrants especially from India-Bakistin with virous background. Many people quit job after serveral months. Inbound tech support call will be easier and less pressure compared with outbound call.

Just curious, How come those people with such strong background still working there for less than $18/h (or even less)? I can only say the opportunity is little.

"而且公司里接电话的不乏本科生、硕士生,许多人还是英法bilingual;..."

I do not think it is really the case. Most masters and doctors I know have no problem to find jobs or researcher positons.

"在多伦多,硕士、博士、MBA接电话,稀松平常"

I see. if working for a whole year, people only make around 25K? That is the reason why people leave the job.

"拿四个月 EI 再整点自己爱干的事儿,有何不好,收入只差 $300/月"

Anyway, Good Luck
