Experience managing, training, mentoring and/or coaching.” “Primary duties include: Oversee the implementation of the Council-endorsed Cycling Strategy. Oversee the project planning, communication strategy, engagement strategy, concept development, delivery and evaluation of capital projects and operating-program activities focused on cycling while understanding the needs of people walking, taking transit and driving. Obtain and incorporate input from internal and external stakeholders. Proactively collaborate with other work groups to leverage efforts and budgets for greater impact; support, advise and negotiate on ways to advance cycling in programs, projects, strategies and designs. Review and constructively critique engineering, planning and design documents prepared by City staff and consultants. Communicate with a wide range of people, such as journalists, developers, consultants, Councillors, community groups, advocates, residents and business organizations. Prepare and deliver reports and presentations for senior management, Council, public meetings and open houses. Train staff in transportation planning methodology and analysis; provide guidance and review of work. ” |
