Anybody brings computer to Toronto from China?

Is It worth?

Take the memory card and hard drive to Toronto. Save money?
Anyone knows this?

I am going to Toronto in a week's time.

I take my laptop come to here. I am not sure if it is cheaper or more expensive. Because I bought laptop 4 years ago. I spent lots of money on my tiny laptop, therefore I take it with me.

I think that if it is desktop, you 'd rather buy one in here. I think you can get a nice one around 500CDN.

bring more spare mouses, CAT5 cable, headphone and those
much cheaper in China than Canada. No need to bring
a whole desktop here. If you have laptop, bring it with
you.

我们登陆时带了个LAPTOP,过来后因为LG急着找工作,上网,还有和国内联系,所以觉得听好的.
半年后LG找到专业工作,但是要自学一些新技术,要架个环境,自己试一些程序,所以我们有装了个台式机.
内存,刻录机,硬盘,ROUNTER都是在FUTURE SHOP有特价的时候买的,其余的是在华人点里陪的,前后花了一个半月的时间(FUTURE SHOP 每周的特价东西不一样,有时要等).
要是你和别人SHARE HOUSE/APT,人家有电脑可以解你急需.或是你离图书馆/人力资源中心近,也可以去那里,但是就是没有中文环境.

加拿大的东西,一加税就很贵,(除非是在特价的时候,我们买的一块钱的ROUNTER就很好),
还有刚登陆,喜欢把东西换成RMB和国内比较,花钱就缩手缩脚.不象在国内尤其是自爱做登陆前准备时,恨不得什么都买新的.
