安省新车尾气第几年开始检？

以前听说5年后开始尾气检查，可是交通部说2002年的车今年就开始检查了，才3年呀？

I received plate/sticker renewal notice for my year 2000 vehicle. It also says the emission test certification is mandatory prior to the renewal.

Any precautions for the test you would recommend?

每二年检查一次,逢单年份的车双数年份检查,逢双年份的车单数年份检查.
