默认 【求助】如何进入安省教育系统工作?

本人在国内是做老师的,现在还想做老本行,在网上看了些关于这方面的资料,没什么头绪。有没有和我类似背景,现在学校工作或者正努力找这样工作的姐妹,共同探讨一下如何在最短的时间内进入安省教育系统工作。

好象蛮难的。
排好几年队呢。
建议LZ改行。
为什么要排队?我现在想知道进入教育系统程序是怎么样的,时间长点没关系,现在像个无头苍蝇,不知从何下手啊。以前只是听说很难,究竟怎么难也不清楚

我以前的国内的同事在这边教高中数学, 小镇上.
大概是这么一个过程: 先要申请念教师学院, 很多大学都有,念一年后拿第二学位和教师证. 这个申请比较难, 我记得他搞了三四次才申请上.读书也很辛苦,在渥太华时他跟俺share公寓, 经常看他整夜熬. 拿完教师证后就可以去各个地方的教育局申请, 面试通过后就可以做全职或代课老师.
我这个同事英语不错, 大学是念科技英语的.在俺以前工作的研究所也是做翻译工作.

第一代华人当中学老师的不多,在这不多的里面也是教数学和物理的多一些。

资格:
1。最低拥有在这里认可大学1st degree。
2。在这里报读教师certification,大约一年。UT有。
3。可再读Master of Education (自由选择)

找工作程序
1。寻找相关推荐进入school board 的待业教师 aprroval List。
2。寻找学校僱用。
3。等运气。

但是如果英文或法文不好,只有你懂而这里土生的听不懂,不用试。

这年许多在这里土生的新毕业certify 教师也多年找不到工作。自己考虑一下。

这个需要清醒一下,如果你是教中国古文学的,英语水平可以平平。教授中国古文学顶尖学位的,英文可以几乎不懂。

可是如果目标是教这里高中英文,不论你写的如何,有口音已也很难找工作。除了个别私人补习社。

The Toronto District School Board invites applications for the position of Mandarin Simplified (Long Term Supply) International Language Instructor at the above location. This position will report through the International Languages Program Officer to the Program Manager of International Languages.
Summary of Duties:

Replace an absent Mandarin Simplified Instructor.

如果在国内是英语老师, 可以考虑教ESL或LINK, 这比HIGH SCHOOL教英语容易些。

这里是安省的学校局和私立学校的链接,工作是学校局管,不是个别的学校:

Ontario School List

个人感觉华人的第一代移民进中小学校教书很难。有个别成功的,但感觉应该是个案,不值得推荐。

还是老老实实的学一个技术性比较强的专业,付出和收获的比例较好。
