现在笔记本电脑在用microsoft Street and trip 2007, 看到很多网友在谈论iguidance4.0,
不知道两者相比如何？
用microsoft street and trip 得感觉地图还是相当详细的。

我DOWNLOAD了iguidance4.0但装不了, NOTEBOOK的版本需要激活才能用. 所以现在还用MS STREET & TRIP 2007.

if that is the case, it can not be called "best". Pesonally, I　ｌｉｋｅ　ＩＧ　ｂｅｔｔｅｒ．

microsoft streets and trips has goog map which contain much more details than IGuidance/TomTom/IGo, etc. When using road guidance, the instruction is very clear. Route plan and road constructon info update are quick. If you go a long trip, overview is also very useful, which IGuidance/TomTim/IGo doesn't have, even they also can be installed in notebook. Even though, the size of microsoft streets and trips are much more smaller, only 1.16G for USA & Canada.

Depend on how big your car is and how small your notebook is. I always put notebook on the front seat beside driver's (my car is small, honda civic). If your car is medium size or up, you can install a notebook mount.

方便肯定不如PDA式得放到眼皮底下方便。
不过我自己觉得也够用了， 在卡城已经开了6万公里，不用看地图更不需要gps.

只有到外地旅游才用gps，不过一来每次出去玩都不是自己一个人，用笔记本也足够了。

一看就是没用过iguidance的人, 我是很早就使用microsoft Street and trip 系列的, 现在它已经彻底淘汰出局, 它唯一的用处就是安装在电脑上, 在家里查地图用, 这样的话随便google map, google earth就灭了它, 放到掌上电脑里, Street and trip只有满地找牙的份了.

It is for my PDA, TomTom is funny in my PDA. I traveled two times to USA this year with notebook as GPS, it works really well. When I am on the interstate highway, I don't really need a GPS, I use the notebook to play DVD for my kid.

今天花了点时间仔细研究了一下iguidance 4.0.
结论是导航功能比microsoftS&T强大的多，这个软件是专门为导航设计的。
不过microsoftS&T也有它的优势， 那就是地图很详尽，每条路都有路名。（IGUIDANCE很多路没有标路名）。 IGUIDANCE得另一个缺点是缩放功能不如microsoftS&T直观容易。
MICROSOFTS&T得另一个优点是有很多旅游点旅馆等信息，而IGUIDANCE 没有。

总结，两个软件我都要装到我的笔记本上。
