请问这里的老师真有这样大的权力，小孩因不听话就可以让停学一天？！！！

My son is in high school, also have a principal and a vice principal.

School has the right to detention or let student no school for a day or even longer if having reasonable reasons, but principals or teachers can not abuse any students orally or physically.

"remember you only want justice(apology and pledge)". that's very good point, so please don't go too far as seems your daughter has to stay at the school.

Please let us know what's going on.
