The incumbent will be responsible for providing support and maintaining all Information systems infrastructure for the OSA. There will be an emphasis on hardware and software troubleshooting, back-up and recovery plans, system upgrades and security. The position is responsible for assisting the Director of Operations and Administration. The Ontario Soccer Association was founded in 1901 and is one of the oldest and largest sport organizations in Canada with 21 member districts dedicated to providing an opportunity for Ontarians to achieve their sporting goals through soccer. The Association provides leadership, consultation and resources to the members within the framework of achieving the overall mission of The Ontario Soccer Association. The Association currently has more than 480,000 participants and provides development opportunities for volunteers, players, coaches, referees, and administrators. Key Accountabilities: •Provide first level technical support for all OSA IS infrastructure including WAN, LAN, hardware, software and customized applications. •Maintain and provide client support for ITSoccernet and Lotus Notes applications. •Write and edit User manuals for ITSoccernet. •Provide support to all staff regarding computer operations and applications •Assist with the installation, generation, management, diagnosis, tuning, troubleshooting, backup/recovery, virus protection, upgrades, testing, security and support of all OSA computer systems. •Assist with the research and purchasing all OSA hardware and software. •Assist with the development and implementation of software training including ongoing technical support for end users at the OSA, District Association, League and Club Levels. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Knowledge: •Post Secondary education in Information systems and/or related work experience. •A demonstrated record of troubleshooting and diagnosing IS issues. Experience: •At least 1 year experience in support, troubleshooting, installing and implementing IS infrastructure. Skills: •Must possess relationship building skills. •Must possess strong written and oral communication skills and analytical skills. Working Environment: Primarily in an office environment at our headquarters in Vaughan.
