20% x 5%(rebate) =1% money back - $59 anual fee = ?

If $20,000/Year expense, 20% of them is for Grocery and Gas, then:
20% x $20,000 x 5% -$59 = $141
(1-20%) x $20,000 x 1% = $160
Total Save $301

For 1% Card, you save $20,000 x 1% = $200

Actually, our expense for grocery and gas is more than 20%. Because most of the stuffs, like clothing, shoes, book, Electronics, Telephone, Cosmics, Furniture and Home/Garden stuffs, can be bought from SuperStore, 7-11 and other grocery stores. For my case, about 35~40% of expense.
