默认 这个月煤气账单价格忽然增高,那位朋友知道是怎么回事?

我住scarbouorgh,刚刚收到新的煤气账单显示和以往不同,真实的费用:
customer charge ==$11.88
delivery charge==$11.45
gas supply charge ==$20.72

total = $44.05

但是以上却不收,多了一行字:
monthly budget billing plan amount =$110.00
加税后我要交: $116.60

我的邻居这个月也是如此,费用2倍以上了,是否大家都收到这样的账单?

原因你不是已经写得清清楚楚的了嘛。到煤气公司网上去查这个plan的意思,如果不想要,打电话给煤气公司。

实际上没有多收你的钱。不用太担心。只是早收钱而已。

先看看上个月的账单. 我去年就碰到过, 账单上写着下个月要把你加入一个计划, 如果不同意就和他们联系, 付账时没仔细看账单, 只看了总额, 就中招了.

Instead of facing the stress of higher bills every winter (when you're already paying for the holidays!), rely on our Budget Billing Plan. Sign up for our Budget Billing Plan.
How it Works

Our Budget Billing Plan helps you manage your payments and cash flow more easily. Your estimated gas charges are divided into 11 installments which are billed from September to July . In August you are billed for the actual amount of gas you use.

The best time to register for Budget Billing is in September – but you can join any time up until you receive your February bill. After that, you must wait until the following September.

If you're a new customer, you are automatically assigned to the Budget Billing Plan, unless you request otherwise.

Make your payments even easier! Register for our Pre-Authorized Payment Plan to have your payment automatically deducted from your bank account and sign up for eBill to receive your bill online. You'll never receive a paper bill again.
Monitor the Budget Billing Plan information on your bill.

Whether you are new to the Plan or have been participating for many years, you should monitor the Budget Billing Plan information (actual gas charges billed to date versus equal billing installments billed to date) included in your monthly bill. While Enbridge Gas Distribution tries to ensure that your Plan amount closely reflects your anticipated annual charges, changes in the volume of natural gas you use or a change in the price of your natural gas contract with a marketer can lead to significant variances at the end of the year.

If the utility's natural gas prices change significantly throughout the year or the weather is much colder than anticipated (which means your furnace will use more gas to heat your home), a review and payment adjustment may be conducted to help avoid significant variances.

If you are concerned that your Budget Billing Plan may have a significant variance, which could lead to a large year-end adjustment, please contact us to discuss your Plan and any necessary adjustments.

Some potential reasons for a year-end variance on your plan could include:

* It's the first full year on plan in your current residence. Your patterns of natural gas use in this home were not well established at the time that the Plan amount was established.
* Meter readings at the time that the Plan amount was established were based on several estimated readings. If you have an indoor meter, you are encouraged to contact us to arrange for an appointment to read your meter.
* A change in your gas supply contract price or a switch in gas supplier (utility to marketer or vice versa). The Plan amount is based on the total annual gas charges from the previous year. Any changes mid-year or during the current year may not be reflected in the monthly payment.
* Lifestyle changes in your home have impacted your annual gas use. For example, a new baby in the household, an illness or retirement may all result in increased gas use.
* Additional natural gas appliances such as a range, water heater, fire place or pool heater have been added to the home increasing the annual volume of gas use.
* We can track utility price changes but are unable to track gas prices negotiated by the customer with marketers.

我是觉得他们估计的数字也太高了.

我7月搬家,到八月的帐单,一个半月,只有用了11块钱的GAS(是实际抄表的数字),加上新帐户的费用30块,上月帐单一共41.00.
这月来了个195块的帐单.首先他们估计的数字,和我们一个月实际用的差太多,再加上他的那么PLAN.这11个月得先收了我多少钱啊?

预估的数字是过去一年的。

如果过去一年住在你现在住址的人家,用的煤气很多的话,煤气公司就预估你今年也会用那么多的煤气。而且可能还会更多一些。

对煤气公司的好处是把你的钱先收上去,不怕你欠债不交。煤气公司也很希望大家都能把银行账号给他,到时自动划钱,也是怕你欠债不交,煤气公司受损。

不喜欢这个plan,打电话给煤气公司取消就可以了。你算不过煤气公司的。

而且冬天取暖要用很多煤气。煤气消耗量不可能一年中每个月都用的和8月一样。到冬天你的煤气费会有好几百一个月。

这只是个预收款计划,每月按一定数交.因此,夏天你要比实际多付,帐上显示供气公司欠你的(你有CREDIT),冬天你就比实际少付,帐目上显示你又欠公司的,最后每年的6,7月份平衡帐目.再按你过去一年的实际花费,重新定一个新的下一年度的月供计划,周而复始.

用了好几年了,没感到有什么不妥的,谁也没占便宜,谁也没吃亏.

是这样的. 如果你从现在到明年6月的一年中月平均数多于这个数,你明年7月份以后的月预付计划就会调高,反之会调低.

你可能是刚搬进新居,煤气公司只能按你的前一房东的用气量来估算你每月的气费.如果你认为太高了,可以告诉他们,让煤气公司调低,实际上如果你即使到了冬天用气量还很少的话,煤气公司会年中就自动调整你的月付计划,而不会等到明年6,7月份.

如果你不喜欢这种付费方式,打电话取消就是了.

我已经用电话cancel 了。这里的录音电话真挺烦,本来英语就不好,听着都晕了,听了好几遍才蒙对了,进了4层,又输入了account num,才有人搭理你。

煤气公司的这个...plan也有一定道理,但是我又不想让他们来左右我的开销。
