since we were out of china, we had already betraied china. keeping silence is a reward to our country where we lived at least. any words pulling china down will be used to against china and pull all chinese down. any people speak bad about chinese is not stronger to against chinese than chinese do. honestly, china is neither heaven nor hell. indeed, other countries have the same problems as china does. good people in every country behave the same as good chinese do. so do bad people. the highest value concept and moral standard all over the world are same. the difference is that people from different countries hold their own countries up.
yes, we are free to speak about everything in canada. but if we don't stand for chinese ourselves, who else would voice for us?
i do not dare to forget my skin color. because even if i forgot, somebody else will mention me of where i am from in different ways.
forgetting our color, forgetting our names, forgetting our roots, we'll get nobody to back up us.
i'm neither shamefaced nor pround to say i'm yellow in my skin color, as the fact is just part of me.
