事情的经过是：

上图画课的时候，另外一个小孩非要在我的小孩的纸上瞎画，我的小孩不让他画，结果那个小孩就用指甲掐我小孩的手，都掐破皮了。

这样的情况应该通知老师吗？我的小孩上的是一年级。

这种事，老师没看见是他的失职。
我儿子一年级的时候经常发生这种事，他打别人的时候多。所以我有幸经常去校长办公室。这种事发生多了，老师会对打人的孩子施加一定的惩罚措施。一般是送校长办公室，相当于大人的隔离审查。

但是我的小孩不会英文，就算别人欺负他，他也没法告诉老师。麻烦啊！

It is really a hard nut to crack for parents from time to time. The best way ,in my opinion, is he should tell his teacher about the matter even using the gestures. The teacher can understand it properly. If your child doesn't want to report it to the teacher, you may do it instead after schooling. In consideration of that it is the first time, don't care about it. If your child is bullied again, you are responsbile for your child's safety and development certainly to report it to the teacher, which is the only right approach to the problem. I think it works effectively. one of the advantages in Canada is you have a certain way to deal with some occurences, for example, if that teacher doesn't solve the foul play that happens to your child, you are able to appeal to the principal of the school and the like.

By the way, don't tell your child to get even with the bully after being ill-treated.

告老师是没什么用的，我女儿刚来的时候也是，在学前班一个白人小孩从她的手上抢走了她的戒指，我找老师，老师只是通知了对方的家长就没有下文，后来我女儿每天都找这个小孩要(我们告诉她英文怎样说)，直到这个小孩说对不起，她找不到了，后来这个小孩再也没欺负过我女儿，还和她很好。这里与国内不同，老师只负责教学生，不处理学生之间的纠纷，如果大点的学生打架，老师就更不管了，只是让你找警察。不过，这里也有规定，如果一个学生对另外的学生的安全构成危胁，这个学生不可以上学，所以你可以和学校反映，另外我觉得要让小孩学会自己处理这些事，

Mine was hit by his classmate and he hit him back. His classmate reported to the teacher and teacher blamed mine. So I told my son when you were hit by your classmate without any reason, hit them back then reported to the teacher the case quickly. Not sure if this is the right way, but don't like to be bullied.

That was my basic idea. Unfortunatelly he forgot the part of report. Anyway, personally I don't want my kids to be involved in violence. However, I don't want him to be bullied without any reaction.

It is really hard for parents to tell our kids how to react properly in this kind of situation. I guess they have to learn from their experience.

It happened to my kid too. a kid attacked him for several times, so I went to see his teacher, guess what she said? she said she didn't notice. so I went to princple's office, what princple said made me faint! he said my kid's teacher was a good teacher.
