The harassment of the woman -- she speaks English, but Chinese is her first language -- had gone on for some time, usually when she walked the narrow, steep-staired path between Guildwood Boulevard and St. Croix Avenue to pick up her son at the school. It was always the same group -- multicultural, mostly Grade 8 boys -- who intercepted her, taunting her with mock Chinese, several pupils said. The woman, about five feet tall, would usually pass as some of the boys chimed in, often getting in her face and pretending to speak Chinese. But the situation escalated Monday, when the woman had had enough of the humiliation. a large group of kids --more than 10, and at least one holding up a cell-phone camera -- stood around watching and laughing while the ringleaders weighed in. "They were mimicking her, pretending to speak Chinese," she said. "Then (one boy) head-butted her." "And (another boy) slapped her," said a different girl.

London

Just share another experience here. I was bullied and harrassed by a group of adults here when I was sick and went to the emergency unit of university hospital. I called the taxi driver to hospital. But the cab drove me to another hospital which was far away from the university hospital for they could make more money. Then I had to call another cab to drive me back to the right hospital. When I was in the hospital eventally, I found there were dozens of people flooded and blocked the way in the emergency unit to prevent me to seek for care, who are totally healthy, pretending to be sick, and prevent me from access to the emergency care . Some of "patients" were even reading books, some "patients" were chatting with their friends, laughed and talked that "the cab drove her to another hospital". The nurse shouted at me and told me that I was the last one that could see the doctor on that day and asked me to go home without any medical treatment. I was too sick to call the police and news press to report then and sorry that I didn't record what happened, either. |
