offer was cancelled

一星期前接到E_MAIL告之"We will be putting an offer of employment for you. We will try to get that out to you ASAP". 但几天后E_MAIL告之"There has been a large budget change and a major project has been put on hold. With that in mind, the position we were looking at you for has been cancelled. I am very sorry to say that we will not be able to give you a contract at this time"

虽然事情已过了一个多星期了,但我的心情还是非常SAD. 我不理解的是BUDGET CHANGE 就这么快,还是有其他的隐情.要知道为这个位置我花了很多时间和精力.还不如一开始就不给OFFER.

别灰心。一定要回email，一方面感谢他们，一方面问是否可以在一个月后follow up。一般公司也不会轻易放弃挑选过的人，一定是真的有内部变动。但情况一有变化，你如果还跟他们保持着联系，你很快就能拿到offer。

I believe they just lost a big contract or the executive team decided to put a project on hold, as the email said. It's a hard time to them, either.

我有个认识的网友，作accounting的也遇到过这样的问题，如果上了班没有几天，再layoff你，不是更加sad么？所以还是看开点，继续努力吧。
