请问知道的DX，在加拿大开办小型的money management, mutual fund等，是不是按照small bussiness的规定？有什么特殊要求吗？
主要想了解，在税收方面，是按公司操作还是干脆个人账户，来的省税。

a partnership or a trust is better. Income, dividend and capital gian can be passed directly to individual investors. Actually, most of the mutual funds are set up in this manner. If it is incooperated, cooperate tax need to be paid first. It is like double taxation. However, there are some mutual funds are set up as coorperate funds. Therefore they have a way to convert their income and dividend distribution to capital gain which is more tax efficient.

BTW, what kind of investment you are looking for? Stock, loan or ...?

Thanks for your reply. Looks like you did some study on the issue, intrested? I'm planning anything, stock, bond, currency, precious metal..etc...the goal is to make 10% or more yearly return safely...well, no safe investment in this crazy world, I mean lower risk...

Yes, I did do some study on this issue. Actually I am thinking of setting up an investment partnership to mirror the performance of some good performance high income/dividend mutual funds. These are low risk stable funds with yet moderate return. The downside is that they are not tax efficent. The return could be siginificantly reduced once tax kicks in. The purpose of this investment partnership is to keep up the performance while enhances tax efficency. It is ideal for investors who are in high tax bracket and like to have reasonable good return investment with low risk exposure. We can discuss about it if you are also interested in this.

An annual return of 10% is reasonable and highly possible. Of course, again as you said, there is no garanteed safe investment.
