SW004 - Intermediate Software Engineer
Overview
We are looking for an energetic, resourceful, and well rounded individual who can add their software engineering skills to our core development team to help contribute to the successful completion and launch of various wireless products.
Personal Characteristics
You must have initiative, welcome challenges, and take pride in your accomplishments. You must also have exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and work well both individually and within a team environment. The ability to deal with constantly changing requirements and priorities will be a requirement.

Education
Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 3-5 years experience.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for developing robust, real-time applications for embedded microprocessors and microcontrollers in assembler and C programming languages using structured design methodologies. Your responsibilities will also include, but not limited to designing, developing, testing, and documentation of application software and low level device drivers.

Requirements

Solid understanding of and expertise with complex microcontroller and microprocessors and their supporting hardware
Experience troubleshooting problems using complex debuggers, emulators and other electronic equipment
Experience with revision control, documentation control, and formally release procedures
Demonstrated experience developing applications for Windows and WinCE
Experience with Windows CE driver development
Assets

Working knowledge of microprocessor hardware systems such as ARM7 and 80C51
Experience with Linux and Palm OS development tools
Understanding of network protocols including: TCP, UDP, IP, QoS, VPN, RAS, DES and PPP.
Knowledge of various hardware standards including SDIO, I2C, UART, and Bluetooth
Knowledge digital RF communications and principles, especially in a mobile environment
