1 . Project Control Analyst: Reporting to the Project Controls Lead, the Project Controls Analyst is responsible for ensuring quality and accurate cost, progress and performance information is delivered for project control purposes relating to the construction of the Extraction Major Projects. Specific accountabilities include (but are not limited to): - Assist in the preparation, consolidation and analysis of cost reports, reconciliations and cost forecasts. - Interpret engineering and contractor cost reports and forecasts for Management. - Compare actual with planned and forecast costs and explaining variances - Support the Cost Specialist to achieve daily and monthly deliverables. - Maintain expense accounts, forecasts of costs, quantities and hours, camp reports, and audit contractor invoices. - Assemble and maintain data for contractor reporting. - Revise and update data, check documentation, reports and provide support for month end reporting. - Maintain cost and appropriation files for projects and contractors. - Ensure effective project control using project control tools, team effort and being cost conscious. 2 . Estimators Responsible for the preparation of conceptual and detailed estimates based on an understanding of engineering documentation, specification and drawings as well as construction, risk evaluation and material take-off techniques. Senior Estimators (5-10 years experience) with Icarus (IPM and/or Kbase) knowledge are preferred. Oil sands experience is a significant asset. 3. Project Control Lead : The Project Controls Lead is accountable to develop, maintain and continuously improve all aspects of Project Controls relating to major projects. The Project Controls Manager will contribute to the timely and cost effective implementation of capital and expense projects in the Major Projects Group. Specific accountabilities include (but are not limited to): Assist in the development of a fluid cohesive team and culture strong relationship with other groups such as the EP contractor, contract resources and other stakeholders. Ensure that the construction management team and construction contractors adhere to the project controls standards and procedures as outlined by the PMO Develop and/or revise as needed, project control standards and procedures specific to the execution of construction related activities. Direct all staff and contractors to ensure the project is executed through a well defined and formalized field change management process to ensure that the project is designed and constructed as per applicable Suncor standards. Schedule and implement various risk assessment techniques as required as the project passes certain milestones or gates to ascertain the external view of risk with respect to cost and schedule and other externalfactors. Final acceptance of the AFE cost estimate through to the final TIC at project completion inclusive of the final input to the project closeout report. Focus on accurate and timely cash flow management and respond to the requirements of corporate management. Experience and Education Requirements Minimum education will include Engineering/Construction Technology Studies or equivalent related courses and experience. 15 years engineering/construction experience (large projects, preferably mineral processing, oil & gas or process plants) which includes a minimum of 8 years in a supervisory capacity. A self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and assistance. Strong organizational and leadership skills and an excellent communicator (both written and verbal). Strong analytical, interpretive and independent problem solving skills combined with excellent computer skills (MS Office). 4. Project Planners: 10+ years of experience in projects.
