我们只是Hiking 在Niagara 附近的一小段吧。

Directions & Parking QEW Niagara, Exit 57,South on Victoria Ave. through Vineland to Niagara Road 75 and the Ball's Falls Conservation Area entrance. Parking available at Ball's Falls Conservation Area.
Hike Directions Entering Balls Falls Conservation Area through the arboretum, you descend a flight a stairs. Here you will find Ball's Falls, a spectacular waterfall – two-thirds the height of Niagara Falls. If you turn around and cross the road, you can follow Twenty Mile Creek for 1km south into a lovely wooded valley.

The Niagara Escarpment

In 1990 The United Nations proclaimed the Niagara Escarpment a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. In company with reserves like the Everglades, the Serengeti, and the Galapagos Islands, the Niagara Escarpment is recognized as one of the world's unique ecological environments. The ancient formation of the Niagara Escarpment shelters a rare bio-diversity of life-forms and eco-systems which have attracted visitors from around the world.

The Escarpment is home to more than 300 bird species, 53 species of mammals, 35 species of reptiles and amphibians, 90 species of fish, and 100 varieties of special interest flora, including 37 types of wild orchids. Eastern White Cedar trees over 700 years old are found growing from its cliff faceone.

Essentially, the Escarpment is a ridge of rock several hundred metres high in some locations, which forms the outer ring of the Michigan Basin; it was created through a long, complex geological process which includes its having been in the Silurian period, a sea. The Niagara section of this (rough) ring, capped with dolomite, stretches 725 kilometres (450 miles) from Queenston on the Niagara River to Tobermory at the tip of the Bruce Peninsula. Today, in Ontario, the Escarpment contains more than 100 sites of geological significance including some of the best exposures of rocks and fossils of the Silurian and Ordovician Periods (450 to 500 million years old, from the Palaeozoic Era) to be found anywhere in the world. ·Hike only along marked routes, especially on farmland.
·Do not take short cuts. Do not climb fences - use the stiles.
·Respect the privacy of people living along the Trail.
·Leave the Trail cleaner than you found it. Carry out all litter.
·No open fires are allowed on the Trail. Use a portable stove.
·Leave flowers and plants for others to enjoy. Do not damage live trees or strip off bark.
·Keep dogs on a leash, especially on or near farmland.
·Protect and do not disturb wildlife.
·Leave only your thanks, and take nothing but photographs.

Take the QEW exit 57 to Vineland - go 0.6 km
Turn right at S Service Rd - go 0.2 km
Turn right at Victoria Ave - go 0.4 km
Turn right at Prudhomme Blvd/N Service Rd - go 0.2 km

Meet at the Merritt Trail parking lot on Glendale Rd. east of the Pen Centre.
(Medium-moderate)

LOCATION is in St. Catherine, QEW EXIT 57.

driving from Toronto should take 1.5 hrs, I suggest we meet around 11:00 am saturday at the parking lot.
