1) copy the file volumeid.exe (http://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?fid=25117) to the root of the C drive

2) go to the run command and type “cmd”

3) in the command box that opens type “cd C:”

4) type “volumeid C: 18D7-5FED” you will get a message back that the volume ID has been updated
5) Reboot

6) Go to run command and type “cmd”

7) In the command box that opens type “vol” it will tell you your volume serial number. Make sure it matches 18D7-5FED.

8) Run qt2005d_16Jan2006.exe (http://ftp.quicken.com/pub/canada/qu..._16Jan2006.exe) to load quicktax using install key 151 7357 375 0600 but DO NOT LET IT OPEN AT THE END OF THE INSTRUCTIONS.
9) Run qtUpdate_9Feb2006.exe (http://anon.intuit-canada.speedera.n...e_9Feb2006.exe) to update the January 16th install to the February 9th settings which includes Netfile.

10) Place QuickTax 2005 (2006.2.13) Final Patch.exe (http://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?fid=25117) in the folder C:quicktax 2005qt2005

11) Run the file QuickTax 2005 (2006.2.13) Final Patch.exe. This will patch the program to accept a known activation key.

12) Close the patch box.

13) Run Quicktax 2005 from the Icon placed on the desktop. A box will open telling you must activate.

14) Select “Cancel”, then another box appears where you choose “Telephone Activation”.

15) Another box appears where you enter the activation key 417 6432 8825

16) Select not to register and you’re done.
17) ENJOY
